Straits is such a Santana Row classic. I love the chic and laid-back energy. It's the perfect to dress up and go out for some drinks and apps I highly recommend the Tamarind Mule. Another plus is that the service is so sweet and accommodating. With that being said, I found the restaurant to be way too pricey and the food to be subpar.

Love the food. Not much Singaporean food around and this place always hits the spot. The inflation hits pretty bad, but I ain't rlly complaining, food good, service good. I mostly hope they can update their restroom, it's always so dark and sticky in there?? I know it's a club at night but no one's drunk during the day. Please clean the woman's restroom.

We were staying next door and looking for a place for light bites as we had a large lunch and were just slightly hungry. This was perfect. We were seated immediately in a nice roomy table. This is like a nightclub and has great music playing but they have really good sound so you can still hear each other talking. We had the samosas and roti prata along with a pandan soda. I didn't taste much pandan in the soda but it was still good. The samosas and roti were both yummy and hit the spot. They gave us space and didn't rush us. Great food, great ambience great service!

I ate here for my sister's birthday dinner last weekend. We got the lobster garlic noodles and they are worth every penny! So much flavor I loved it. We also got the butter chicken and I loved that too. Our server, Julia, was so nice which made the experience even better. She was attentive to whatever we needed and offered her advice when we didn't know what to order. The ambience of the restaurant was lively and cheerful as well. Will definitely be recommending this place to others.

3.5 STARS Hello, $28 Weekend Prime Rib w/ coconut pandan mashed potatoes! IMO, the Singaporean/Malay food at Straits is not it (overpriced and mid at best) but their new prime rib deal was worth a revisit. And, it didn't disappoint: https://tinyurl.com/4pckzc8c The 6 oz prime rib is deliciously tender and moist (rare = medium rare). Beefy and not oversalted. The mashed potatoes had good tropical coconut-ty flavor, creamy and chunky. Didn't care for the achar that tasted like sweet satay instead of acidic, the hella salty gravy, and the sambal horseradish that's more of an aioli but hey, you can't have to it all for only $28. After trying one bite of the prime rib, we quickly ordered another round. So yea, def worth the re-visit! To Management: The restroom IS in desperate need of a remodel, it doesn't match the trendy club vibes. It's eeeeck and reminds me of deserted rest stop...all that was missing is a gl*ry h*le. O T H E R I N F O: * Prime Rib deal available Saturday + Sunday starting at 11 am until sold out. Around 5:30 pm on Saturday, they were already low. * Happy Hour: Monday - Friday 3 pm - 6 pm (lounge only), Wednesday - Thursday 9 pm - close (main dining + lounge), Sunday 12 pm - 4 pm: $2 oysters + bottomless mimosas. * Rezzies on Tock. We made one but didn't need it. Straits isn't as crowded as other restos on The Row. * Most of the staff are great, the hostess (AZN brunette in club attire) and our server, Tyler were awesome! * Dog-friendly (front and side patio). Choose the side patio for a more quiet meal. * The new pay for parking system at The Row is confusing and flawed. Free for the first 2 hours and $2 per an hour thereafter. We had to pay twice before the gate lifted.

Food is always so exceptional here. I love their flavors! Plenty of seating so bring in your.l big groups or not! So many amazing dishes to choose from you won't be able to decide. They have a wide range of cocktails to choose from as well. Service is always very friendly and the food comes out fairly fast. Always a good time here!

The atmosphere Is interesting, I don't know that I've been to a restaurant that was themed as a nightclub. I liked the uniq experience. The food is excellent! The portions are big so I recommend sharing an entree between two people. The seafood curry was packed with lots of shellfish and salmon and was delicious. It really should come with rice though rather than having to order a side. The roti was fantastic, just the right combination of crunchy and soft. My favorite was the spicy street noodles with shrimp though. Truly next level seasoning and preparation. It smelled so good I dug in before taking a picture. The non alcoholic drinks are great definitely worth it. The alcoholic drinks are good but a bit overpriced for what they are in my opinion. I would recommend either a slight reduction in price or elevating the ingredients a bit. The service was good, but we went when it wasn't busy. The staff was friendly.
